Varieties
  • Richly Fragrant Flowers

There are over 25,000 different varieties of narcissi, multi-headed, single-headed and in all shades of yellow, cream, white, orange and peachy pink

Flowers range in size from 2.5-12.5cm with stems from 15cm to as long as 70cm. The variety most commonly grown on Isles of scilly are Tazettas, producing many richly fragrant flowers on each stem

The season begins far earlier here than in Cornwall, running from late autumn/winter right the way through to spring. Since different varieties flower at different times, it is possible to obtain narcissi for 6 months of the year.
